Workshop
TRGB's first workshop was built in 1986 by Gary Bates and Richard Dempster. Still working at TRGB, Richard is our guru when it comes to rebuilding TR5's and has probably restored more TR5's than anyone else in the world! The Workshop is now managed by Stephen Brocklebank, Gary's stepson, who has his own classic Triumph's at home.
Our team also has considerable experience on working and/or restoring other marques including: Ferrari Dino 246, Austin Healey 3000, E-type Jaguar, both 4.2 and V12. Ferrari 308, Datsun 240z and Mercedes 190sl. Contact us if you have a classic car that needs attention, we understand and own classic cars ourselves.
All TR engines are re-built in house, something we have an especially good reputation for (as seen on National Geographic's Car S.O.S.) We can improve performance, reliability, road or track handling and braking to suit your requirements. We also welcome stage payments on restoration work, giving fully detailed estimates, invoices on all work carried out and a full photographic portfolio.
All estimates are free, we will even travel to your home free of charge within a 50 mile radius. We are happy to arrange collection and delivery to anywhere in Europe, our labour rate is £79.00 per hour plus VAT. Discounts can be given for extensive workshop jobs where applicable.
All our work and parts are warranted as we aim to make our product as reliable as possible.
TRGB Coachworks
At TRGB LTD we take pride in our extensive experience in body and chassis restoration! Our panel and paint shop has recently had a state-of-art low bake oven installed. Mark Walker, who heads our bodyshop team is an expert "old school" panel beater with a wealth of experience in all aspects of classic car restoration. Our teams combined knowledge of panel, body and chassis repairs is second to none. We really do have the art of getting the elusive door gaps spot on.
All chassis repairs are carried out on our dedicated jigs. We can repair, check, straighten or fully rebuild all TR2-6 chassis. We understand the importance of obtaining a true and straight chassis, our process is fundamental in obtaining the correct body gaps and final finish! We can also repair and straighten accident damaged chassis, doing so has gained us insurance repair approval from all major insurance companies.
We also offer a service to just check your chassis on our jig for peace of mind.
